If you were to look up quaint in the dictionary you would find a picture of the TooGood Cafe. Located in historic Unionville Village, down the street from the Varley Gallery and across from the Planing Mill, it is just the spot to sit and relax after a busy afternoon of browsing and shopping.
If you have your laptop you can continue to browse and shop 'online' as the cafe has free wireless Internet, (and easy to access electrical outlets both inside and out) which also makes it a great spot for an informal meeting or to get away from the office to really get some work done.
Of course you might get a little distracted, especially if you are sitting out on the patio enjoying the weather, the view, watching people or the birds that stop by hoping for some of that delicious freshly made sandwich or pastry you are enjoying with your specialty coffee, tea, juice or smoothie (a liquor license is in the works).
TooGood is not all quiet and quaint. As the sun goes down at the week's end, the mikes and amplifiers get set up for Open Mike sessions and live bands. Sit a while and enjoy the tunes or bring along your voice or musical instrument of choice and favour the crowd with a tune or two.
Located at the south side of the village, there's plenty of parking in back and on the street in front, so it is a good place to start you're stroll along Main Street Unionville.
Named for the pond and creek which runs through the area, which in turn were named for the family that used to own the land, the cafe is that rare instance where its too good and its true.
So drop by and say hi to Christine and friends. You're sure to leave with a smile.
