Ontario Environment Minister Gerretsen to welcome utility into select group of companies
What: Minister of the Environment, John Gerretsen, will officially welcome PowerStream and Warren’s Waterless Printing as the latest additions to Ontario’s Environmental Leaders (Leaders) program, a Ministry of the Environment initiative that recognizes and showcases companies who go the extra mile to help preserve the environment by reducing their own impacts through improving business processes and increasing efficiencies.
PowerStream and Warren’s Waterless Printing will be the eleventh and twelfth companies inducted into the program. The list of previous Leaders program inductees include Exhibition Place, Steelecase, Fielding Chemical Technologies, GM Canada, Nalco, Teknion, Trillium Health Centre, Rohn and Haas, Ontario Power Generation (Niagara Plant Group) and Cargill. Ontario’s Environmental Leaders are committed to improving the environment, promoting sustainability and reducing waste, which places them in excellent standing with their customers and local communities.
Who: The Honourable John Gerretsen, Minister of the Environment Vaughan Mayor, Linda Jackson; Markham Mayor, Frank Scarpitti; PowerStream Chair, Peter Meffe; PowerStream President and CEO, Brian Bentz and Warren’s Waterless Printing General Manager, Glen Warren, will be participating in the official proceedings.
