Closure from August 7 to December 15 will allow for bridge replacement on Major Mackenzie Drive

NEWMARKET – Commencing August 7 through December 15, 2012, The Regional Municipality of York will temporarily close Major Mackenzie Drive East between Donald Cousens Parkway and Ninth Line in the City of Markham to allow for a bridge replacement.

Major Mackenzie Drive East will remain open to local traffic only during this period.

Motorists are advised to use Donald Cousens Parkway for access between Major Mackenzie Drive East and Ninth Line.

Road detour signs are being installed to direct traffic around the affected area.
