TACC Developments and SmartCentres are pleased to unveil their community art

TACC Developments and SmartCentres are pleased to unveil their community art on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. near the Walmart building at 500 Copper Creek Drive, Markham (9th Line and Hwy. #407).

Mayor Scarpitti and Members of Council will be on hand at 11:00 a.m. for the ceremony to unveil this unique and exciting art piece that sits 25 feet high and is a tribute to the Box Grove community.  This sculpture represents a focal point for the community to meet and gather at the seating and landscaped areas that have been incorporated into the surroundings of the art piece.  The sculpture celebrates the work ethic, both past and present, and reminds us that behind every façade are men and women dedicated to the values of excellent in building a future that we can all enjoy.  The artist responsible for this sculpture, Marion Bartlett, will also be in attendance.

Family entertainment and activities will be available for the community after the unveiling ceremony to celebrate this momentous event.
