About Dana Carly
|
Dana Carly Andrews – singer-songwriter, fragile but strong, opened chest, pink & orange & warm builder of music. A folk-indie-acoustic musician whose delicate, honest sound can bring listeners to a hush (or to a chorus of whisper when she breathes out her darker, raging voice).
This self-taught unique guitar-picking-piano-playing 19-year-old from Unionville has been singing & making music ever since she could speak. After picking up the guitar only two short years ago, she began scribbling down notes to pages of poetry & found herself flooding journals with new music.
She has always been mused by artists of all kinds (currently that includes the wonders of Ani Difranco, Damien Rice, Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, & Craig Cardiff to name a few), her bests & beautiful friends, & the awkward, difficult, intricate moments that make life so interesting.
This past year she spent her Saturday mornings busking at the market in the Keith’s brewery building in Halifax, near Dalhousie University where she is studying theatre. She is so thrilled to have this opportunity to share her music with TooGood & would love for anyone & everyone to come relax with a cup of tea & listen with friends & family.
